I'm thinking about making this my main weblog again. I want to do something different with my other domain, possibly still a weblog but one that is focused on a particular subject and not as random in nature as my usual style. I do miss this design, too. It was always one of my most favourites...the colours are just so me! :)

I've got WordPress installed, now I just need to get the design all ready. If any WP users read this, what plugins do you recommend?
Since I've had so many people tell me about the wonders of RSS feeds, I installed Sage in Firefox so I can try them myself. Hmmm. Not very pretty, are they? And when I say not pretty, I don't mean Sage, I mean how RSS feeds are basically just text with no designs. At this point, I'm not sure I will be converted to reading feeds instead of visiting the actual weblog. I like designs! I like colour! I like pretty things and eye candy! Yes! Yes! I admit it, I'm web shallow!
That said, when the new site is ready I will add a feed for those of you who like them. I'm just not sure that I will use them. Mind you, I do need to stop being so design focused because I drive myself nuts trying to come up with the most fabulous, all singing and dancing weblog design. And every design is found to be lacking in the singing and dancing department. Which has a tendency to make alyshajanes bang their head against the wall and contemplate how quickly they could drink a whole cask of wine. Ahem.
Maybe I should give myself lines to write:
I shall not focus only the design, I will focus on the content as well.

Maybe it has something to do with getting up much earlier today, but I have a real creative bee in my bonnet. I'm a wee bit tired of socks; I have the first sock of my second pair on the needles but I want to do something different. I feel like knitting a bag of some sort but not totally happy with the patterns I have.
What to do? Design my own! I have an idea for a small clutch-ish knit bag in my mind and have drawn some rough sketches. It's made up of a back + flap, front and gusset. I haven't decided how I'll close the bag yet. Maybe a wrap around strap with a button or velcro closure or maybe a button closure and a long strap.
The dimensions I'm basing on the size of my purse. I think purse in the US is what we in Australia call a handbag. When I say purse, I mean what you put your coins and notes in. Anyhoo, I want the knit bag to be big enough to hold my purse and a few other items like my mobile phone and other random bits.
